EUGENE, Ore. – Can the University of Oregon men’s track and field team claim a second straight NCAA outdoor title? Who will represent Team USA on the global stage at the IAAF World Championships in Beijing this summer? And which UO athletes will emerge as breakout stars in 2015?
Those questions will be answered at historic Hayward Field this year as another exciting UO outdoor track and field season is fast approaching. You won’t want to miss a single moment, so make sure you have the best possible seats for all of the phenomenal action.
UO season tickets and all-session passes to the NCAA and USATF championships go on sale to the public at 9 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 20. For one-stop shopping and a Hayward Field seating chart, go online to goducks.com/tracktickets. You can also purchase tickets by phoning 1-800-WEBFOOT or in person at the Moshofsky Center ticket office.
“It’s going to be another memorable season of track and field at Hayward Field,” said Vin Lananna, UO associate athletic director of Olympic Development and TrackTown USA president.
“There is no better opportunity for our community to come together and show their support for not only the top student-athletes in the country, but also the best Americans that will vie for medals on the world stage.”
The 2015 outdoor slate at Hayward Field features three outstanding UO meets. The Ducks open the season against Kentucky and Washington at the Pepsi Team Invitational on April 11, followed by the Oregon Relays on April 16-18 and the annual UO Twilight meet on May 8.
The 2015 schedule is anchored by two other incredible events – the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, June 10-13; and the USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, June 25-28.
This will be the 13th time that TrackTown USA will play host to the NCAA championships, one of the sport’s premier events in which the top men’s and women’s collegians from all across the country gather to compete for individual and team crowns.
The USATF championships serve as the selection meet for Team USA that will compete in the 2015 IAAF World Championships, Aug. 22-30, in Beijing. At the same time, the USA Junior Championships (age 19 and under) determine berths for the 2015 Pan American Junior Championships, July 31-August 2, in Edmonton, Canada.
Those who purchase all-session tickets to the events in 2015 will be rewarded with priority access for tickets to the 2016 U.S. Olympic Track & Field Trials, July 1-10, at Hayward Field before they go on sale to the public. The priority is divided into three tiers:
· Tier A (first priority): Purchase tickets for UO season, plus all-session NCAA championships plus all-session USA championships.
· Tier B (second priority): Purchase tickets for UO season, plus all-session NCAA Championships or all-session USA Championships.
· Tier C (third priority): Purchase tickets for UO season only.
Single-day tickets for all of this year’s events will go on sale later in the spring.
So, don’t delay.
This is your best chance to join the Hayward Field faithful as they roar their approval for all of the amazing performances that are sure to unfold in TrackTown USA this year.
