State of Oregon stands alone in 2016 Track & Field competition rankings

EUGENE, Ore. – The final results for 2016 have been tallied, and when it comes to staging world-class indoor and outdoor track and field meets, no other region on the globe can match the state of Oregon.

According to rankings compiled by – the official data partner of the IAAF Diamond League – five of the top meets in the world this past year were held in Oregon. The rankings are based on actual results and the level of performers at each meet with a bonus for world records.
