31 athletes with ties to Oregon set for 2017 World Championships

EUGENE, Ore. – The state of Oregon will have a robust presence at the 2017 IAAF World Championships in London this week.

A total of 31 men’s and women’s track and field athletes with ties to Oregon are set to compete in the 10-day meet which begins Friday at Olympic Stadium, the site of the 2012 London Olympics.

While most of those athletes (19) will compete for Team USA, there will be six athletes wearing the uniform of Canada, plus one each from Australia, Botswana, Burundi, Great Britain, Jamaica and The Netherlands.
